Yes, I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe He was just what He said He was. So? What does that matter to you? If I believe in Jesus and I'm wrong, then when I die, what do I loose? If you choose to not believe Jesus and your wrong, then when you die, you loose everything.
Have you ever really checked out this guy called Jesus the Christ?? I don't mean just forming a opinion based on talk, bits & pieces, and uninformed ideas. Have you ever REALLY checked into it? I have, and am I ever glad. Can you say you don't believe the Bible without ever reading it? Not exactly fair and certainly not intelligent. I won't write a long paper, trying to explain all the proofs that Jesus was what He said He was. Instead, I'd like to give you the story in simple terms, then challenge you to check Him out yourself.
Genesis 1:1 says, "In the beginning , God created the heavens and the Earth." There are many reasons to believe this to be very true. Please check out some of the links on my homepage. You may be surprised to discover that the "facts" of evolution, are really nothing more than a religion. When God created Earth and man, He created all things good and in order. Man then sinned, (broke God's law) which made his nature soiled or sinful. Because God is perfect and Holy, He could not have fellowship with sin. He loved the man he had created, and had a plan. In order for Him to have fellowship with man again, the sin must be paid for. The penality for sin is death, the shedding of blood. Animal blood was used in beginning as a forerunner for the true Lamb. As a sign of God's plan to come. It was imperfect though and could not complete the job. When all things had been fulfilled, when the time was right, God sent His Son to Earth. Jesus was born with miraculous circumstances, fulfilling all that God intended. Jesus was indeed God in the flesh. He lived the perfect , sinless life, telling us who He was. When He allowed Himself to be put to death on the cross, what happened was that Jesus took all our sins to His account. He wrote the check for our sins. As He cried out "My God, why has thou forsaken me?" That was when God had to turn His back on His own self, His own Son. Jesus had become sin.
That wasn't all though, because then Jesus defeated death. Why? So that He could then lead us into life. If Jesus had just died, then He wouldn't have completed the plan. God meant for us to live our eternal lives with Him in Heaven. Jesus rose from death , so that we could too. God's only requirement was that we believe on His Son, confess Him, and follow Him. It's free gift , given by the one who created you. He loves you that much. No matter how much sin has been in your life, Jesus paid the whole price. His life paid it all. You don't have to believe the world's lie. Life is not meaningless, you are not an animal evolved from chance cells. You were made on purpose and God wants you to come back to Him. So much so, that He provided the way. Just take it, just do it! If you want to find out more, check out some of the many sources. Links on the internet, such as those listed on my page. Or try God's Word, His message to us, the Bible. The New Testament tells the story of Jesus's life and commandment to us. If any man earnestly seeks after God, He will be found. That's my challenge to you. Check it out, really. Don't say no until you've tried it. God is waiting.
