WHY FISH?
Back in the days of early Christianity the fish was used as both a secret code & as an anti-Roman symbol. Why a fish though? One might assume because in Matt.4:19 Jesus said "Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men" Actually it is because of the letters in the Greek word for "fish", ICHTHUS, are the same as those in the phrase: Lisous-Christos-Theou-Huios-Soter, which translated as "Jesus Christ of God the Son Savior" .
