Flakys Welcome

When I began freebie hunting, I quickly became addicted. Even my family came to expect me to keep filling out those forms. They loved checking the mail to see what new treat had come! As I went along I learned a few time savers and developed my own hunting style. I thought I'd post some of the hints and list my favorite starting pages. Who knows, maybe you'll catch the bug too? :o)

One of the first things to do is open an anonymous e-mail account some where. Any time you fill out a form for a freebie or sample, they will require a e-mail address. Some even require a e-mail confirmation. This of course means e-mail lists and "spam" later from the different companies. If you use a anonymous account, then you can check it, confirm, unsubscribe, and clear it out at your leisure. I usually only check mine twice a month.:o)

The second thing I recommend is to download a simple program to help you fill out all the forms. In just an hour of freebie hunting you could fill in your address 50 times! I use the Gator program, it's a short download, easy to set up, is secure and a huge help. Of course you should have a separate folder of bookmarks so you can easily surf your favorite freebies whenever you want. :o)

There are many different ways of bargain hunting on-line. From freebies and samples to coupons, beenz and codes for on-line shopping. There are also thousands of good sites with frugal living tips, make your own ideas, and free crafts or patterns. I am not a on-line shopper, although husband and I have learned there are some bargains you just can't beat. We will shop on-line for some things. I am not a coupon person either, though I have tried! :o) I will concentrate on posting what I do well at and use the most. That's freebie/sample hunting, and frugal living tips. Being a family with children and home schoolers to boot, that includes make your own and craft sites. There are also many bargain hunters posting boards and clubs. I signed up with a couple, but found I just wasn't able to check them often enough to me good. For those that can check places I will list a couple to get you started. Please fell feel to send me your favorite places for freebies, and I'll see about getting them posted!

These are my favorite frugal living sites. They are well worth exploring, as they have everything from tips on investing, to saving on utilities, cheap party decorations, making your groceries stretch, to making your own shower cleaner. We have found that incorporating just a few of the best frugal tips has saved us a bundle over the years. I've also included the site where we get our ink jet cartridge refills. It's a very frugal practise. :o)

Here's some crafts, free patterns, make it yourself, worksheets, anything free that might be handy type sites. For example people get their own "name brand" cleaners from the Chemistry Store. I use the worksheet sites for home school, Sunday School, or baby sitting. Use your free imagination! :o)

I thought since I am a home pager builder, I'd include webmaster freebies. This is for if you don't know how or just don't wanna. Free buttons, banners, support ribbons, gizmo's, copy/paste java scripts, mouse trails....you get the idea!

Now for the favorite, freebies! There will be freebie lists, clubs, sample clubs, and sample newsletters. Please note, it will be up to you to do the hunting! Understand I will not be posting lists here for hits, or payments. I'm doing this solely because it's an interest of mine and as a convenience to those who come here. In other words, I'll only posts those lists I found freebies on and/or find myself going back to. I hate excessive pop ups, dead links, long surveys, and sites that don't update. Please do what you can for the web masters that keep these lists going for us. Click one of their banners occasionally, or vote for them!

A big favorite is
